About me
Hello, my name is Selen Dönmez and I am 29 years old living in Barendrecht. After the graphic design study at the Graphic Lyceum Rotterdam, I started the Communication and Multimedia Design study at Hogeschool Rotterdam. After 4 beautiful years I have completed my last education and obtained my diploma. I am currently working as a UX Designer at Sogeti.
Within Sogeti I have been able to work on various assignments, currently I am on assignment at Mars. At Mars, I am involved in designing a web and mobile application that will be used by factory employees. Additionally, I have the opportunity to broaden my knowledge of design systems within Mars. Within Sogeti I also have the opportunity to develop myself, I have obtained a number of certificates:

I would describe myself as a daydreamer and an imaginative person. When I'm lying in bed and on the road with music, the best ideas come to my mind. When fantasizing about different ideas I end up in a completely different world. When I have an idea I immediately get very excited to realize it. I am also a social and communicative person, which makes working together and speaking with others go well for me.
In my spare time I am also creative and love to draw and paint. I also like to travel and I really like to visit different countries and nature reserves.

UX Research & User testing
User research (Interviews, surveys, Observations, Eye tracking). collecting insights and translating insights into visuals, User testing with prototypes (Card sort, moderated user test). Concept-oriented testing.
UX DESIGN & Graphic Design
User-oriented design, knowledge of different design programs (Figma, Adobe XD). Able to work in multidisciplinary project teams within an agile environment to drive UI design and implementation. Background as a graphic designer, which allows me to create my own visuals/illustrations

Knowledge in applying different methods (Design Thinking, Double diamond). Applying creative techniques to think out of the box. Facilitating brainstorming sessions and workshops to jointly arrive at good solutions/ideas
